Welcome to Taobh-an-Allt
Taobh-an-Allt (pronounced: tarv an alt) is an historic cottage in the lovely village of Tarbet on the banks of Loch Lomond, providing luxury accommodation for 4-6 people all year round.
In 1745, while Bonnie Prince Charlie led the Jacobite army down through the Highlands, and Rob Roy's son besieged the Loch Lomond-side barracks at Inversnaid, the manager of the whisky distillery at Tarbet engaged himself in a rather more peaceful endeavour: building his home. And the house he built, Taobh-an-Allt, 'the place by the stream', now offers you the unique opportunity to holiday in a cottage made romantic through its historical associations, idyllic through its loch- and burn-side setting, and charming through such traditional features as the Jacobean four-poster in the master bedroom and the splendid original stone wall in the lounge.
